4th - 5th April 2011, hosted by the School of Nursing and Midwifery,
National University of Ireland, Galway.
Building and Promoting Excellence in Practice
Welcome to the 3rd International Nursing and Midwifery Conference hosted by the School of Nursing and Midwifery, National University of Ireland, Galway. This conference provides an opportunity for researchers, practitioners and policy makers to get together to learn, debate and share methods of building and promoting excellence in practice. Our second conference held in 2009 was attended by more than 250 national and international delegates. It is our hope that this year's conference will continue to build on that success by promoting national and international scholarship through creating opportunities for participants to network, form new relationships and explore opportunities to work collaboratively.
The scientific programme will be made up of presentations, submitted oral and poster presentations.
The over-arching theme of the conference 'Building and Promoting Excellence in Practice' highlights the importance of strengthening nursing and midwifery practice at international, national, local and community levels.
